Extreme Shad
Designed by Timber Creek Pro Staff Member and Owner of Extreme Outdoors Guide Service, Michael Sapp Jr.
Extreme Shad is a sharp, baitfish-inspired hand-tied jig designed to imitate the natural flash and movement of a small shad. Its contrasting colors, shimmering accents, and lively tail action create a realistic presentation that crappie can easily track and strike.
This versatile pattern is an excellent choice around schools of baitfish, brush piles, docks, standing timber, creek channels, and suspended fish. Extreme Shad performs well in clear to lightly stained water and can be cast, vertically jigged, pitched around cover, or slowly trolled.
Guide Tip from Michael Sapp Jr.:
Fish Extreme Shad near suspended baitfish and match your retrieve to their activity level. Use slow, subtle movements when fish are cautious, or add short pops and quicker lifts when crappie are feeding aggressively.
